Obituary of Katherine Mary Buffi

Katherine Buffi, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away June 24, 2018.  Cremation is private.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Monday, July 2nd, at St. Theresa RC Church, Little Egg Harbor, NJ.

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free,
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I’ve found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life’s been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch,

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.

Katherine had a kind, gentle soul and a beautiful smile that lit up the room when she walked in. She loved her family very much especially her wonderful daughter Brooke and her boyfriend Sam. She was a thoughtful and dedicated mother to Brooke and Sam's best friend. Katherine loved to cook - her favorite foods were her dessert creations. Katherine worked tirelessly to overcome destructive forces in her life. Over the last 4 months, she dedicated herself to growing closer to God through bible study and participating in various church activities. She found solace and peace at the beach.
