Andres Castillo posted a condolence
Thursday, September 21, 2017
To the family of Mr. George J. Ciocher,
I would like to express my condolences for the loss of George. From December 1987-May 1995, I worked for George at the Guttenberg shop as an assistant welder, driver and maintenance personnel. I remember George with fondness. He gave me an opportunity to learn a new trade despite of my young age (16) when I began working for him. He was a generous man with a trusting attitude to those who worked hard, just as he did.
I remember his generosity and quiet demeanor the most. During our breaks or lunch at work or when we would travel to his home for some routine maintenance, he would sit with us and have lunch. Although not much of a talker, I always had great respect for him.
The scriptures in John 5:28-29 states, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."
Knowing of George's passing saddens me because this is a loss to those who knew him. However, the preceding scriptures gives hope that George will see life once again.
May these scriptures provide some comfort in the lives of his family.
Respectfully submitted with sympathy,
Andres G. Castillo
