To Mrs. Hark and Family, I had the pleasure of working with Dan at 42nd Street in NYC, He welcomed me to the job as shop steward when I was hired ,and taught me so much about the job. I could really never thank him enough. I remember him bringing the boys in to the shop one time. Little did I know would also work with Chris so many years later. I was lucky enough years later when Dan became a Manager I would get the chance to work for him , and it was an Honor. Dan will always be a part of so many happy and fun memories from my time at the 42ndStreet Frame.
There was no one like him. I extend my Deepest Sympathy, and Condolences to Dan's Family ,and he will always be remembered in my Prayers. Sincerely Vickie Sustmann

To the family of Dan Hark,
I had the pleasure of working with Dan for many years during my long career at NY TEL / BELL ATLANTIC / NYNEX / VERIZON.
And it truly was a pleasure.
He was a terrific man in so many ways and I am sorry to hear of his passing.
I send my deepest condolences with the hope that memories of all the good times you spent with him are able to provide some comfort.
Sweet Dreams, Sweet Soul.

Thinking of you at this very delicate time. Mr. Hark was like a second father to me and treated me as a third son... His laugh was infectious and he always had a smile on his face...
Our prayers are you all...

Brother Bill posted a condolence

My brother was a great guy! I write this with much sadness as I reminisce about the past and growing up together, the family vacations to the shore, to Maine and other nice places. We went to camp way out in Northwest NJ (no route 80 back then and that was some trip from Astoria, Queens) We both worked the camp snack bar and ate all the ice cream we were suppose to sell to the campers. The one thing I never forgave him for was our mother made me official dish washer as Danny somehow convinced her that he couldn't do a good job and when he was tested proved that to be true!
Dan loved doo wop (the oldies) and watching football whether NFL or College. (His favorite college team was Notre Dame) Over the years he and Alice had great parties and family gatherings on Christmas and New Years Eve. (you could always find a card game going on) He and Alice raised a great bunch of kids and were devastated at the loss of Chris. In later years his Catholic faith became stronger and he attended mass frequently.
When we talked on the phone he was always upbeat always concerned about me and my family and recently we started to reminisce quite a bit in our telephone conversations, I will never forget that.
I know Dan is now in heaven as he was such a good guy who respected everybody.
God bless Dan see you again someday
Brother Bill

My deepest sympathies to all the family. I’ve had the honor of working for, and with Dan in lower Manhattan. Some of my fondest memories with the company was working with him, those that didn’t know him really missed out. What a great loss to the world. – John Marcinanis
