Obituary of Donald G. Calvert

Calvert, Donald, 83 of Barnegat passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. Born in Iselin 1939, graduate of Woodbridge High School, and a US Army Veteran. Father of 3, grandfather of 4, and was a loving husband of Margaret (Kitlan) Calvert for close to 60 years. Calvert’s trade started as a punch press die setter in a machine shop and he continued being a craftsman of home improvements into his later years. Calvert’s later jobs included school bus driving in Barnegat, charter bus driving, and being a member of the Barnegat First Aid squad. Calvert enjoyed gardening, cooking, collecting memorabilia, and tending to their pet rabbit, Dobby, of 10 years. Calvert valued music and spending time with his family. He played guitar and sang in a group with his two brothers when he was in high school. He is survived by his wife Marge, daughters Margie (Henry) Kulinski, Dawn Rivera, son Donald (Lisa) Calvert Jr, adopted daughter Tina Patterson (Bill Gigi), beloved granddaughters Katrina Calvert (fiancée Anthony Franceschini), Holli & Jenna Kulinski and grandson Raymond Rivera. He is also survived by his sister Willa-Ann “Midge” (Marty) Gurbach and brother Bobby Calvert. He will be missed by all his in-laws, nieces and nephews.
