Cash was "Sonny" to us. I always considered him my cousin though that's not true. He was wonderful guy, always smiling and easy to be with. His brother Nick was always part of the gang along with Frank and Jim Liberi.

My friend Elmo. Always had a smile on his face and made you laugh. A fiercer NY Giants Fan you could not find. He cut my hair since I moved down to LEHT in 1986
and I always looked forward to speaking with him about the Giants. A genuine kind of guy who was always a gentlemen. Although I have lived in Texas for the past three or so years I think of him often. He will sorely be missed by the community and all of those like myself who were fortunate to have had the pleasure to know him. Heaven has gotten its biggest Giants Fan. Rest in peace Elmo.. GO BIG BLUE..

I am sorry for your loss. I don't have a strong recollection of Sonny but I remember well my father, Bill Weiler, speaking so highly of him. This I know: He was a well respected member of the Tuckerton community. His loss represents the loss of one of the real "Tuckertonians". My heart and prayers are with you.

Dear DiElmo Family,
Condolences for the loss of Sonny. I ran past your house for decades when you lived on Main Street Tuckerton with the New York Giants flag flying on the flagpole during football season. When Sonny started to work at the beauty salon in the Great Bay Plaza, as I would run by his new place of business, I would stop for a few minutes to talk about the Giants or the Phillies depending on the sports season. I also saw Sonny attend the 4:00PM Catholic Mass at St Theresa's. I will always have fond memories of Sonny & this area will never be the same with the loss of a long time iconic resident.
Sincerely,
Bert D. Politoski (the running Guy)
