Obituary of Edith Dwyer

~~Edith Dwyer (nee Garcia)  passed away peacefully after a short illness on September 30th 2017.   Edie was born and raised in Newark NJ.  She was the youngest of 5 children born  to John and Rose Garcia.  Predeceased by her Father John Garcia, her Mother Rose Bradley Garcia, her brothers Charlie and John Garcia and Grandson Nicholas Cupo. 
Edie worked as a waitress in Newark before going to work for Prudential Financial retiring in 1995 after working there for 25 years, 
Edie loved going to the beach, betting and watching the horses ( the trotters in particular) was an avid reader and lover of crossword puzzles. Both her wit and tongue were sharp and she was feisty till the end.
She is survived by her loving Son Joseph and his wife, 6 beautiful Granddaughters and 1 Great-Grandson. She is also survived by her Sisters Margie and Mary.
Services will be  private.   A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital  in her honor to continue the fight to find a cure for cancer.
