Obituary of Rosemarie Crilly

Rosemarie Crilly, of Island Heights, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren on April 5, 2018.

Rose was predeceased by her husband David Michael, her son David Jude and brothers William Sheehan, Gerard Sheehan and Father Joseph Sheehan and is survived by her children Patrick, Maryanne West, Kathleen Gunteski, Joseph, Theresa Johnson, 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren who loved her and loved being around “Nan”. She will be missed in many ways by many people.

Rose was born in Elizabeth NJ and married her sweetheart David Crilly. They began a family and in the early 60’s moved to Island Heights where they were happy and active members of the community.

Rose was a staunch supporter of Right to Life which she served on for many years as well as the Legion of Mary at St. Catherine’s of Seaside Park NJ. Rose was also a consecrated widow of the Church.

She was proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren but would be most proud of the lives she helped save through Right to Life, helping young mothers understand the value of every life, especially the unborn.

Visitation will be at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River, NJ, Tuesday April 10th from 4-8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 11th, 10:00 AM at St Catherine’s Church Seaside Park, NJ.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Right To Life.
